There's a lot of tragedy surround the month of April. Please take time to pray for everyone affected by the Oklahoma City bombing, the Columbine shooting, the Virginia Tech shooting, the Rwandan genocide, accidents of all kinds...all kinds of horrific things. Try to not just do it today, either.

It's a good month, though, too...Spring is here...rain, though it can be troublesome, also replenishes and heals...lots of birthdays (including mine )...so it's a hopeful month, too.

Have a great day, everybody, and God bless .

So I've been watching SVU instead of doing homework.  Great.

This weekend hasn't been all that exciting, but it hasn't been too terrible.  I got to leave work early, but I did lose my paycheck...kinda sucks, but oh well.  Which reminds me...I hope I didn't lose the trumpet mouthpiece I'm supposed to be practicing on and that it's in my room at my apartment.

I kinda wish classes hadn't been cancelled and that I could've gone to Special Care, but it is better for people to stay off the roads in this kind of weather.

Classes are alright...it's going to be kind of a hard semester, but it sseems like everyone's is going to be kind of crazy.

I'm sure I had something productive to say, but I can't remember, so I'll go .  Have a great day, everybody, and God bless .

I sruvived the last few days at Toys'R'Us .  It was actually wasn't as bad as I anticipated (at all), but still .

Second, I was at work, and they were playing "Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays" by *NSYNC.  That's pretty much one of the most fun Christmas songs ever.  So I was kinda mouthing along to the words as I was putting up stuff, and it skipped a line.  I thought maybe I made it up, but as I listened to it, I discovered it was missing, after "And with the blessings from above", the line, "God sent you His love".  Is the name of God really that offensive to people that you need to cut it out of a CHRISTMAS song?  Honestly.  I just don't get it :-\.

Anyways :-\, y'all have a great weekend, and God bless .

So I have several things on my mind...but instead of trying to develop those ideas right now, I'm going to show you a poem I found in my Music History book that I thought was pretty funny:

Gira il nemico insidioso—Giulio Strozzi

The insidious enemy, Love, circles

The fortress of my heart.

Hurry up, for he is not far away.

Arm yourselves!

We must not let him approach, so he can scale

Our weak walls,

But let us make a brave sally out to meet him.

Throw on the saddles!

His weapons are no fakes, he draws nearer

With his whole army.

Hurry up, for he is not far from here.

Everyone to his post!

He intends to attack the stronghold of my eyes

With a vigorous assault.

Hurry up, for he is here without any doubt.

Everyone to his horse!

There’s no more time, alas, for all of a sudden he

Has made himself the master of my heart.

Take to your heels, save yourselves if you can.

Run!

My heart, you flee in vain, you are dead.

And I hear the arrogant tyrant,

The victor, who is already inside the fortress,

Crying “Fire, slaughter!”

Have a great Finals Week, and God bless .
